Total Fitness offers some of the best nationally certified and experienced RI & MA Personal Trainers. We specialize in cardiovascular, strength and conditioning programs, rehabilitation and injury recovery programs, sports specific programs and lifestyle programs.

Many of our Personal Trainers have completed "InService" Training from the National Multiple Sclerosis Society and are dedicated to helping MS patients increase their overall wellness through fitness.

Walter Medeiros: Personal Training Director

Experience & Philosophy: Walter has been a personal trainer since 2001 & he brings a wealth of sport & fitness experience derived from his time as a track athlete, collegiate football player & coach, bodybuilder & an officer & fitness trainer in the Army. Walter was a perennial recipient of the Army Presidential Fitness Badge. Philosophy: "Giving my clients not only the motivation but also the knowledge to get fit & stay fit.

Stacia Abdow: Certified Personal Trainer

Experience & Philosophy: Stacia has worked in the fitness industry since 2006 and became a certified personal trainer early in 2013. She has quickly built herself a wide range client base and following. Her versatile approach and ability to get her clients to their goals make her a popular choice. Philosophy: "I enjoy helping people become the best version of themselves that they can be."

Greg Annarummo: Certified Personal Trainer

Experience & Philosophy: Greg is a 2012 graduate of URI and has developed a passion for fitness and weight training throughout his years as a high school and collegiate athlete. Greg played collegiate baseball at the Division 1 level and was a First Team Atlantic 10 All-Conference player. He is energetic and is knowledgeable in sport specific training and looks forward to helping train people to reach their goals.

Abby Cabral: Certified Personal Trainer

Experience & Philosophy: Abby has been a personal trainer since 2001. Being an avid runner for many years she joined a gym at the age of 33 & never looked back. In 1995 she competed in her first bodybuilding show & won. Abby's philosophy is "Weakness is a choice." Weight training has not only given me physical strength but most importantly mental strength which I incorporate in every aspect of my life.

Andy Calise: Certified Personal Trainer, Fitness Consultant

As an infantry Sergeant & counterterrorism specialist, Andy has trained & led Marines on missions around the world. Becoming a personal trainer in 2007, he has helped clients of all ages & abilities increase their physical capacity & improve their lifestyles. Dawn Casella: Certified Personal Trainer, Pilates Instructor at Mind Body Studios

Experience & Philosophy: Dawn has been in the fitness industry since 2002, working in a club & teaching group exercise classes. Graduating in 2006 with a BS in Exercise Science, Dawn became Power Pilates certified & Personal Training certified. Philosophy: "I am an advocate of eating a 100% natural diet & believe that if you eat a healthy diet & exercise everything else will fall into place."

Julie's love for fitness gave her the drive to get Group Fitness Certified in 2004 & AFAA Personal Trainer Certified in 2009. Julie has a great passion for fitness and loves to coach her clients of all ages to build a strong foundation for a healthier lifestyle. Philosophy: "Through the use of motivation, accountability, consistency & the proper nutrition everyone can achieve their fitness goals.”

Jodi Garie: Certified Personal Trainer

Experience & Philosophy: Jodi's 30-year career started in sports medicine/spine & rehabilitation. She ventured into corporate wellness & golf fitness. Jodi is a Master Trainer geared toward functional training, balance & flexibility. Her rehab knowledge allows her to educate clients on individual techniques & routines. Philosophy: "Master your core strength for it's your center and balance of every movement".

Grant Hajder: Certified Personal Trainer

Experience & Philosophy: Grant's training philosophy is a combination of his education and personal experience. He has had the privilege of working with professionals in the industry; from P.E. doctors at Bridgewater State University, bodybuilding experts, and health & fitness instructors. Philosophy: “I am here to encourage and help every person make gains and accomplish their goals, big or small."

Peter Holland: Certified Personal Trainer

Experience & Philosophy: Health and fitness have been Peter's passion and lifestyle for most of his life, and now it's his career path. Peter received his AFAA personal training certification in 2014. He also has a B.S. in business management and marketing. Philosophy: "Is to have balance and symmetry, if we train properly we can eliminate weaknesses, prevent pain and injury, and improve the way we look and feel."

Experience & Philosophy: Tammy began her fitness career after losing over 100 lbs with diet and exercise. She became AFAA Group Fitness certified in 2011 & AFAA Personal Training certified in 2012. Tammy's love for fitness drives her to help others accomplish their health & exercise goals. Philosophy: "I believe that strength comes from weakness and our bodies are capable of far more than what we think."

William Lemieux: Certified Personal Trainer

Experience & Philosophy: William became a certified personal trainer in 2016. He has been active in the RI Army National Guard for 22 years. William has always enjoyed fitness, that enjoyment drove him to become certified through MTTI. His passion is to help others achieve health and wellness goals. Erica's passion is working with a diverse group of clients, showing them how to live a healthy, balanced lifestyle. Lizzie loves motivating people to become stronger & more confident. She enjoys a more personal approach to fitness. Experience & Philosophy: Dave found his passion for boxing at an early age. At the age of 18, he began to compete until he entered the Air Force and continued to box while in the military. Dave has trained many amateur and professional boxers. Philosophy: I believe being healthy and fit improves the quality of life. I am always willing to help others reach their goals, no matter how big or small.

Laurie Roderick: Certified Personal Trainer

Experience & Philosophy: Laurie has been a personal trainer since 2004. After overcoming a back injury several years ago, she went on to compete in powerlifting events. Laurie stays motivated by seeing results in her clients and changes they've made through fitness. Philosophy: "Fitness keeps you going, improves your quality of life no matter what brings you down. Your stronger and better than you think you are"

Experience & Philosophy: James became a certified personal trainer in 2010 & D.S.W. certified 2013. Since becoming a trainer he has built a wide range of long-standing clients from children, senior citizens, Mixed Martial Arts & Brazilian jiu-jitsu champions. Philosophy: "Fitness success isn't some secret combination of exercises or a trendy diet. Intensity and consistency are what it really boils down to".
