Mommy/Daddy & Me Community Program with Susan Defusco

Join Susan for this 6-week Community Program Open to the Public. The 45-minute parent/child class focuses on music and socialization using songs and musical instruments. The main components are exercise, dance, singing, and stretching.

Ages: Toddlers 18 months to 5-year-old (parent/grandparent/guardian will stay with the child during the class)

Fit Club with Dave Parker

Join Dave for this 8-week program that will help you gain strength and endurance. Group training high intensity and conditioning workouts will include a variety of equipment such as ropes, kettlebells, sleds and more. Fitness gains will be measured by comparing weights and times from previous workouts. Dave will encourage you to push yourself! Know it won’t be easy, but it will be worth it. (min. 3 max. 10 participants)

Fall Into Fitness with Dawn Casella

Get back on track after the summer and before the holidays with this 4-week group training for all fitness levels. Workouts are designed to improve your overall health and well-being in a fun and friendly atmosphere. Training sessions incorporate weights, TRX, bands and mat work that can be modified if needed. Participants are assisted in reaching their personal goals in a supportive team atmosphere. (min. 3 max. 6 participants)

Totally Fit Kids with Andrea Chase

Kids grades 1-5 will undertake a 6-week group training with exercises and activities that focus on developing stability, mobility, muscular strength, core function, and motor-skill performance. The overall goal is for kids to have fun with fitness and to develop a positive attitude towards regular exercise. Getting kids on the right path toward a long-lasting healthy lifestyle all starts with fundamental movement skills that are learned by participating in any activity that teaches body awareness, balance, and coordination. TR Flexibility with Adriana Ferns

Rock Your Resolution with Stacia Abdow

Are you in need of some fitness N-Spiration? Join Julie for this 6-week group training that will motivate you to achieve your health and wellness goals. Enjoy working out with fellow participants to push you to the next level of fitness. Couch to 5k with Julie Fostin

Have you always wanted to run a 5k but just don’t know how to go about it? Now is your chance! Join this outdoor 8-week training at Buttonwood Park with participants that are just starting out just like you. Training will include an assessment before and after, a group training session, and 5k homework. Julie’s goal for you is to join her to run/walk/jog and finish the Swansea Total Fitness Thanksgiving 5k. Has this always been on your bucket list, time to cross it off.

Total Fitness for Women with Stacia Abdow

Total Fitness for Women is an 8-week group-training program under the supervision of our certified personal trainer, Stacia Abdow. The program is for women of all fitness levels who have a desire to be the best they can possibly be. Learn how to make your workouts more effective with workouts tailored to your needs and goals. Accountability and support from your trainer and group will help you reach your goals. Stacia will provide each participant with written workouts to follow outside training times, nutrition guidance for pre and post workout meals, and measurements to keep your progress on track. (min. 3 max. 6 participants)

Weight Loss Clinic with Walter Medeiros

Participants will undertake a 10-week long program that will combine personalized dietary guidelines for each individual along with a weekly group training session which will help build camaraderie amongst participants which will help you overcome many obstacles. Also included, weekly weigh-ins followed by a “group therapy” session to ultimately lose as much weight safely as well as to allow for the greatest amount of success to keep the weight off.

Classes are based on fitness level, participants must contact Walter prior to the program at Space is limited, participants must sign up 1 week in advance and pay for 1/2 of the program to reserve a spot. (Friday – min. 3 max. 6 participants) (Saturday – min. 3 max. 8 participants)

Woman of Steel with Walter Medeiros

Join this 8-week progressive strength-training program for women focusing on all aspects of fitness including cardiovascular & muscular endurance, muscular strength, flexibility, and body composition. Participants will enjoy the camaraderie of working with a group in a fun and encouraging atmosphere to achieve results. Workouts will consist of weight, balance and flexibility training with cardio intervals to focus on core strength. All fitness levels welcome. (min. 3 max. 6 participants)

Classes are based on fitness level, participants must contact Walter prior to the program at Group Training can be prorated so you can jump in at any time where this is availability.

Members that Inspire Us

Nick Medeiros has been a member of Bristol Total Fitness since 2015. He enjoys all aspects of the gym, but you can usually find him lifting. When asked if he had any success stories, Nick shared with us that he has lost a total of 30 pounds! Congratulations! This just goes to show that when you really put the time in, great results will follow. Nick says that a big part of having success is eating right and training right, you really can’t have one without the other if you’re really trying to make a difference. A personal quote about his fitness journey, “It’s gains o’clock.” We would like to congratulate Nick again and wish you nothing but continued success!
Tim Irish has been a member of Swansea Total Fitness since 2013. He takes pride in being the “unpaid intern” who replaces the toilet paper when needed. Tim is an early exerciser, coming in by 6 each morning to get his workout in. Being a teacher at Case Jr High means he starts his day with a solid workout. Tim enjoys the classic rock music in the morning for his flexibility training. He says, “as you get older stretching and flexibility becomes more important.” Tim is dedicated to his stretching and flexibility, keeping in mind Nike’s motto “Just Do it.” He says, Manager Libby is the absolute best in the morning, which we agree! Keep it up, Tim!

Alyson Beatty has been a Seekonk member since 2017. She has always been active, first with dancing, swimming, running, and now weightlifting along with cross fit training. The mind-body connection is what motivates Alyson to come to the gym. Remaining active and functional also helps out with running around after two little boys and pretty soon another. Outside the gym, she enjoys going to the beach, traveling and just basically spending time with her family. After having the baby, Alyson wants to focus on self-care and return to the gym as soon as possible. Congratulations!

Claudia Jacobsen has been a member of Dartmouth Total Fitness since 2015. She attends the gym 5 days per week, participating in 10-13 group classes! Claudia has achieved many health benefits due to her commitment to fitness such as weight loss and seen improvements in muscle tone, stamina, balance and bone density. Some advice she would like to share is “Find an exercise program or class you enjoy and stick with it!” Claudia would also like to note that “All the instructors, trainers, and staff are friendly, approachable and extremely helpful and genuinely care about you!” Thank you, Claudia. We are lucky to have you as a member!
