Total Fitness School Supply Drive

Total Fitness is teaming up with the United Way for a school supplies drive. We will be collecting pencils, pens, notebooks etc. for children in need. There will be a box to put your donations in the gym foyer, or it can be handed to the front desk. See our flyer in the gym for a more detailed list of supplies.

6th Annual Free Boot Camp at Independence Park with Adriana FernsBristol Total Fitness and Bristol Parks and Recreation are teaming up to create a healthier community. Join Adriana for this free boot camp, open to the public. Bring your friends and family! Enjoy the fresh outdoors and downtown Bristol!

Have you ever thought about training with a personal trainer or taking a class, but didn’t know where to start? Each week during the summer months Bristol Total Fitness will highlight a Personal Trainer or Class Instructor. We will get to know more about them, what gets them motivated, as well as what inspires them. Total Fitness for Women is an 8-week group-training program under the supervision of our certified personal trainer, Stacia Abdow. Are you in need of some fitness N-Spiration? Join Julie for this 6-week group training that will motivate you to achieve your health and wellness goals. Enjoy working out with fellow participants to push you to the next level of fitness. Couch to 5k with Julie Fostin

Have you always wanted to run a 5k but just don’t know how to go about it? Now is your chance! Join this outdoor 8-week training at Buttonwood Park with participants that are just starting out just like you. Training will include an assessment before and after, group training session, and 5k homework. Julie’s goal for you is to join her to run/walk/jog and finish the Swansea Total Fitness Thanksgiving 5k. Has this always been on your bucket list, time to cross it off.

Woman of Steel with Walter Medeiros

Join this 8-week progressive strength-training program for women focusing on all aspects of fitness including cardiovascular & muscular endurance, muscular strength, flexibility, and body composition. Participants will enjoy the camaraderie of working with a group in a fun and encouraging atmosphere to achieve results. Workouts will consist of weight, balance and flexibility training with cardio intervals to focus on core strength. All fitness levels welcome. (min. 3 max. 6 participants)

Body Revival – Sugar Crush with Tammy Kappes

Join Tammy for this 6-week group training that will focus on functional and traditional training for you to reach optimal health and wellness. This total body results-driven program will build strength, cardiovascular endurance. Tammy will give you the tools to reach your goals while having a safe and effective workout. A meal plan will be given (extra charge) for participants who would like nutritional guidance. All levels of fitness welcome. (min. 3 max. 6 participants)

Weight Loss Clinic with Walter Medeiros

Participants will undertake a 10-week long program that will combine personalized dietary guidelines for each individual along with a weekly group training session which will help build camaraderie amongst participants which will help you overcome many obstacles. Also included, weekly weigh-ins followed by a “group therapy” session to ultimately lose as much weight safely as well as to allow for the greatest amount of success to keep the weight off.

Classes are based on fitness level, participants must contact Walter prior to the program at Space is limited, participants must sign up 1 week in advance and pay for 1/2 of the program to reserve a spot. (Friday – min. 3 max. 6 participants) (Saturday – min. 3 max. 8 participants)

Members that Inspire Us

Liew Kah Foo, AKA “Danny,” joined Bristol Total Fitness in January 2018. He attends the gym at least 6 days per week and is very dedicated to his fitness routine. Before focusing on his physical fitness, he spent a lot of time engaging in bad habits until he joined the gym. Danny then got involved in fitness competitions and got his personal trainer certification, awesome job! A fitness tip that he’d like to share is “Don’t use weights that are too heavy you can’t handle. There are no shortcuts! Learn the proper way and don’t give up.” Congratulations on the accomplishment, Danny!
Ralph Pearson joined Swansea Total Fitness in August of 2015. He has been training since 1993, including bodybuilding competitions. Staying in the game for over twenty years is not easy for anyone, but Ralph takes it day by day and stays consistent. Working out for aesthetics is what got him into this journey, but staying healthy is what keeps him on track. In the recent months, Ralph has dropped some serious pounds and with intention of lowering his blood pressure but he also looks fantastic. We love seeing you in the gym, thanks for making us smile Ralph!
Stephanie Parker joined Seekonk Total Fitness in December 2016. She’s always been into fitness but was always insecure about working out. Stephanie recently lost 70lbs and became more motivated about going to the gym. Running around after two little children is also what keeps her active. Stephanie’s happier and healthier now for her children and herself. Her current goal is to get more into weight lifting to tone her body. Stephanie loves being outside and spending time with her family. Congratulations!
Craig Snell joined Dartmouth Total Fitness in September 2015. He attends the gym 4-5 times per week and his favorite exercises include anything targeting his arms and back. Craig attributes his excellent work performance due to the time and commitment he puts into the gym. He believes that flexibility and form are a critical part of one’s fitness routine. Because of Craig’s dedication to health and fitness, he is able to perform well throughout all aspects of his life. He would like to note that the gym is very clean, has friendly staff and a great overall atmosphere. Thank you, Craig! Congratulations!
