Specht Physical Therapy Moving to New Location

After 16 years of serving the community from their clinic inside Swansea Total Fitness, Specht PT is moving their practice just a short drive away. “We will really miss seeing the members and staff at Swansea Total Fitness on a daily basis, but this move will allow us to provide a wider range of services to our patients, and that has us thrilled about the possibilities,” says Greg Specht, Clinical Director at Specht. As always, Specht PT will continue to partner with Total Fitness by providing Free Injury-Screenings to Total Fitness members. Outdoor Tough Training with Adriana Ferns

Ready to tackle a new and exciting goal this year? This is it! This 8-week outdoor group training will prepare you for your next race. Adriana will simulate obstacle course challenges to test your speed and endurance. The workouts will include: running, jumping, balancing and more along with nutritional guidance. (Weather permitting) (min. 3 max. 6 participants)

Sugar Shakedown with Adriana Ferns

End the vicious circle of yo-yo diets and unhealthy patterns! For 6 weeks this program will help clean out the sugar from your body and help stop those carb cravings as well as craving those sweets. Meal plans; a grocery list, workouts and weekly weigh-ins/body fat measurements will be given throughout the program. With the support from Adriana and fellow participants, you will work and learn how to eat, live and maintain a healthy lifestyle. (min. 3 max. 6 participants)

Mix It Up with Dawn Casella

Break out of the monotony of the circuit by using TRX, cable weights, free weights, gliders, and bands. Dawn will motivate, keep you focused and accountable. The support and camaraderie from participants will keep you on track toward your fitness goals. (min. 3 max. 6 participants)

Summer Sizzler at Colt State Park with Adriana Ferns

This 8-week program, with certified personal trainer Adriana Ferns, is an outdoor total body workout with everything from running, plyometrics, to partner and equipment exercises. In just an hour you can really take your fitness to the next level. Take advantage of the weather and start the day off right. (min. 3 max. 6 participants)

Fever Fit with Julie Fostin

Catch the fever! Make progress and mix up your routine with circuit strength training, cardio intervals and more. Join Julie for 8 weeks of fun with routines that will keep you accountable and challenged. Including, weekly emails, recipes, along with exercise and nutritional accountability! (min. 3 max. 6 participants)

N-Spire Fit with Julie Fostin

Are you in need of some fitness N-Spiration? Join Julie for this 6-week group training that will motivate you to achieve your health and wellness goals. She will challenge you with interval workouts with a variety of equipment to improve your strength and cardiovascular fitness. Enjoy working out with fellow participants to push you to the next level of fitness. The program will include a: fitness assessment, weigh-in at the beginning and end of the program along with a weekly email with fit tips and recipes. Julie will N-Spire you to believe fitness is fun! Samurai Sprint Mud Run Training with Stacia Abdow

Have you always wanted to try an obstacle course race but wasn’t sure how to train for it? Personal Trainer, Stacia Abdow has got you covered with her 6-week training program for the Samurai Mud Run in July. This program will prepare you for obstacles such as balance beam, box jumps, rope climbing and many more. With Stacia’s expertise and motivation, she will get your ready for any obstacle that might get in your way! (min. 3 max. 6 participants)

Total Fitness for Women with Stacia Abdow

Total Fitness for Women is an 8-week group-training program under the supervision of our certified personal trainer, Stacia Abdow. The program is for women of all fitness levels who have a desire to be the best they can possibly be. Learn how to make your workouts more effective with workouts tailored to your needs and goals. Accountability and support from your trainer and group will help you reach your goals. Stacia will provide each participant with written workouts to follow outside training times, nutrition guidance for pre and post workout meals, and measurements to keep your progress on track. (min. 3 max. 6 participants)

Fit Body Boot Camp with Stacia Abdow

Rock Your Resolution with Stacia Abdow

Stacia’s weight-loss challenge is an 8-week program to keep participants accountable to their New Year’s Resolutions. The workout will be designed to be high-intensity interval training. Woman of Steel with Walter Medeiros

Join this 8-week progressive strength-training program for women focusing on all aspects of fitness including cardiovascular & muscular endurance, muscular strength, flexibility, and body composition. Participants will enjoy the camaraderie of working with a group in a fun and encouraging atmosphere to achieve results. Workouts will consist of weight, balance and flexibility training with cardio intervals to focus on core strength. All fitness levels welcome. (min. 3 max. 6 participants)

Classes are based on fitness level, participants must contact Walter prior to the program at waltermedeiros@totalfitnessclubs.com. Group Training can be prorated so you can jump in at any time where this is availability.

Weight Loss Clinic with Walter Medeiros

Participants will undertake a 10-week long program that will combine personalized dietary guidelines for each individual along with a weekly group training session which will help build camaraderie amongst participants which will help you overcome many obstacles. Also included, weekly weigh-ins followed by a “group therapy” session to ultimately lose as much weight safely as well as to allow for the greatest amount of success to keep the weight off.

Classes are based on fitness level, participants must contact Walter prior to the program at waltermedeiros@totalfitnessclubs.com. Space is limited, participants must sign up 1 week in advance and pay for 1/2 of the program to reserve a spot. (Friday – min. 3 max. 6 participants) (Saturday – min. 3 max. 8 participants)

Core-FIT with David Roderick

This 6-week group training is designed to teach participants to perform proper stance, grip, and position for barbell and bodyweight movements. The program emphasizes core stability, balance, mobility, and strength while correcting common faults. You will also learn accessory movements that can increase performance. Members that Inspire Us


Henry Zinno Jr. joined Bristol Total Fitness in February 2012. He enjoys doing a series of CrossFit-style exercise routines. After seeing a picture of himself while on a mission trip, Henry made a promise to himself that he was going change. He is now down 30lbs, has gained muscle and improved his blood pressure. “I’m 62 years old, and I haven’t seen this weight or muscle strength since I was in my 20s! Be consistent with your fitness routine and combine it with a program to keep your spiritual health in shape as well. Find a mentor who will challenge you, like my friend Rob did for me.” Way to go, Father Zinno! Congratulations!
Amy Sterne joined Swansea Total Fitness in September 2015. She joined for group fitness classes especially Yoga but has branched out and tried other classes. Amy has recently lost 20lbs. due to working hard on her diet and exercising. She loves that the gym has so many options on how to exercise and feels like she has learned so much about fitness and nutrition. Amy recently began weight training with Abby Cabral and says that “You don’t always realize what you can do until someone pushes you.” She says everyone at the gym, staff, and members are very kind and helpful. It’s a great atmosphere in which to work out. Congratulations!
Dina Pichette joined Seekonk Total Fitness in July 2015 and Jenn Byrne joined in September 2014. They have always been into fitness, Jenn has been dancing for 13 years and Dina likes group fitness classes. For the last six months, they’ve enjoyed each other’s company working out together strength training and cardio. Dina & Jenn’s desire to be physically fit and overall staying healthy is what motivates them to come to the gym at least five days a week. They are both so close to achieving their ideal weight and having a six pack before the summer. Nice job girls!!
Donna Valente joined Dartmouth Total Fitness in October 2013. She trains weekly with Personal Trainer, Jodi Garie. Donna’s fitness routine is changed regularly to keep her challenged. Since she started training Donna is healthier and stronger than she has ever been. One of Donna’s fitness tips she’d like to share is “Working with a trainer keeps you focused and on track! Jodi recognizes my limitations while pushing me to do more than I ever thought I could do.” She is not only maintaining a healthy lifestyle for herself, she states “I am doing this to stay strong for those who mean the world to me!” Keep up the great work, Donna. Congratulations!
